Day 1: Depart from Delhi by train for Rishikesh
Depart from Delhi by train for Rishikesh via Haridwar, Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2 : Morning proceed for sightseeing of Rishike

Morning proceed for sightseeing of Rishikesh. Visit Triveni ghat, Swarg Ashram, Lakshman jhula, Geeta Bhawan etc. Afternoon drive to resort at uttarkashi. Welcome by Resort staff. Evening at Leisure.

Day 3 : Drive to Gangotri (3040 Mt.) In the evenin
Drive to Gangotri (3040 Mt.) In the evening visit Gangotri temple and overnight stay at Gangotri.

Day 4 : Trek to Bhojbasa (3658 Mt.)
Trek to Bhojbasa (3658 Mt.). Trek follows the River Bhagirathi. The trek is full of fascinating Himalayan sites like Shivling, Sudarshan, Matri and Bhagirathi group of mountains.

Day 5 : Bhojbasa
After breakfast proceed for day return Trek to Tapovan (4400 Mt.) via Gaumukh, the source of river Ganges. Tapovan is a beautiful lush green meadow at the base of Mt. Shivling. Overnight in camp of Bhojbasa.

Day 6 : Uttarkashi
Trek down to gangotri and drive to Uttarkashi. overnight stay at Shikhar Nature Resort.

Day 7 : Uttarkashi

Morning proceed for city tour of Uttarkashi. Afternoon at leisure for exploring the surrounding of the Resort. evening after farewell dinner, start return drive to Delhi.

Day 8 : Delhi
Arrive at Delhi the morning.

I'm please to say we had a really good holiday - I think we got the mix of sightseeing and relaxation really well balanced. And of course we were delighted with the number of tigers we saw. My general feedback would be; the 3 Taj hotels were all excellent, and I'm please to say that in Jaipur we were upgraded to a suite, and in Agra had a room with a view of the Taj. At Corbett the lodge in Dhikala was EXTREMELY basic.
