  • Our sightseeing programmes take in the most noteworthy sights in each place. Sometimes local fairs and festivals or other happenings compel us to alter the itinerary which should be regarded as unavoidable adjustments of plans. If a particular monument or complex is closed on the day of scheduled sightseeing, we try to show it the next day, subject to availability of time.
  • The climate is pleasant in Madhya Pradesh from October to March, getting quite cold from November to February when we suggest you carry woolens as well. From April to September it is warm. But always travel light carry only one suit case, weighting no more than 20 kg and an overnight bag.
  • The tours can be joined at their respective first arrival point in the State. However, this depends on vacancies and an advance notice of at least 15 days is required.
  Day 1
You arrive at Satna by Kashi / Pawan Express and after breakfast, you leave for Khajuraho, where you stay for two nights at Hotel Payal/ Hotel Jhankar.

Day 2
The Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela Rajputs between the 10th and 11th centuries - a joyful ode to life depicted in exquisite carvings. You spend the morning and afternoon visiting the museum and the temples.

Day 3
After breakfast, you leave for Orchha arriving in time for lunch. Orchha is a medieval city where grandeur has truly been captured in the temples built by the Bundela Rajputs. You stay overnight at Betwa Cottages.

Day 4
After breakfast, you leave for Shivpuri which is set among low hills and rich forests. Erstwhile rulers hunted here. You go for a round of the National Park. Later, you visit other scenic spots and also the graceful Chhatris of former rulers and their consorts. The architecture is an elegant synthesis of Mughal and Rajput styles, the chhatris set like jewels in formal gardens. You stay overnight at Tourist Village.
Day 5
You leave after lunch for Gwalior. You have a free evening to relax, and you stay overnight at Hotel Tansen.

Day 6
Today you visit the splendid Gwalior Fort which, in the words of Babur, is "a pearl among the fortresses of Hind". Within its precincts, you will see several interesting palaces and temples such as Man Mandir, Teli Ka Mandir, Sas-Bahu Ka Mandir and Gujari Mahal etc. Later, you sightsee in the city, visiting the tombs of Tansen and Ghous Mohammed, the Jai Vilas Palace Museum and other sights. In the evening, the fort comes alive with the Son-et-Lumiere for your visual delight. Your continue your stay at Hotel Tansen.
Day 7
You leave by Punjab Mail, having been 'down memory lane'.
